We lost a lovely dog, half GSD, half Husky. My wife has a positively enormous clan of relatives, we were offered a puppy in exchange for running their business while they went on holiday.

My wife and I were standing outside her father's home, my emotions rubbed raw. I miserably said "If we get this GSD, we have to go training"

Training for us, the dog was sorta incidental, heh.

Best thing we ever did in the context of that dog.
