and enabling the government to get so much data about citizens may serve useful purposes as long as the government seems to be in good hands (*), but when it isn't, it becomes a serious problem. the smart policy way to avoid this is to limit the collection and the interconnection of databases. "write laws thinking they'll be used by your worst enemies against you when they're in power" the same goes for government databases. gov.br accounts are a huge liability and risk, and that's not just because they demand people to use tracking devices and to run invasive nonfree software.
