This guitar is a unique hollow body (about 1.5" thick) that has a piezoelectric pickup inside the body. The bridge is a typical push pin "tooth" config. They shipped it with ernie ball strings -- in the industry, typically artists stretch them to an octave or two above for a couple hours and then tune down to your desired (in this case typical EADGBE). Played Rhiannon one time and all of the solid wire strings are out of tune by a half octave. I used to swear by Ernie ball but maybe quality has gone down in ~10 years
