Every question or statement about "you'll get better" or "is there a cure?" has an implicit meaning: "I hope you become like me again" (healthy) but not because they hope the best for you. They feel uncomfortable having you around! And even worse if condition doesn't make you physically ill despite residing inside you (like HIV) - together with pity, there's stigma. Pity is the mask of stigma and you have to fight hard, not to be left behind.
