I would assume that there some trackers available for the C64.
I lucked out and got some great AY tunes created by a fella online when I was making my speccy game BlockZ.
To integrate the music into my own program is simple.
The player routine and music module (tune) are loaded in.
The player has 3 entry points start, stop and play next note.
Call the start routine then within a interrupt routine call the next note routine for continuous music
The C64 may have similar software,
