#EngenderedWriting 79. Is it fair, or is it reasonable, to have the narrator discuss gender matters? Do your narrators express opinions about the characters?

i use a narrative style inspired by the Victorians, who often have a distinct narrative voice, and break the fourth wall at will. the narrator's 'I' or 'we' comes into the story at several points. i want you to know that the narrator is partial, and has an opinion. they'll throw in a few remarks from time to time, sometimes in a footnote.
