BaJaX (nprofile…zjs5) is reconciliation without hope of the offending party understanding or being capable of remorse for their offense a foolish endeavor? You might, for example, reconcile with your 60 IQ brother for accidentally killing the family cat in a fit of rage but where would you draw the line in weighing the severity of the action against culpability? What if he was 80 IQ + drunk, what about 110 IQ, drunk and gaslit himself into forgetting the whole ordeal. Does it even matter? You might not hate him but you might otherwise cut him out of your life for being too stressful to deal with. And then it's just forgiveness in the "Christian" sense.
I don't have a 60 IQ brother that killed the family cat for the record, I just mean as a stand-in for person with impaired judgement and immoral action.
