The corn is topping out nicely now, but today's forecast has those nasty words: "damaging winds". I have deployed my pipes-and-rope support system to help the corn stay upright. Ropes on the two tallest rows are positioned to protect from winds coming from the "usual" direction. I can't really encumber the plants too much by bundling them from both sides so I make my best guess based on past experience. Fingers crossed. 😬
