GrapheneOS also randomizes your MAC address, so you have that protection if you use it. Otherwise, yeah, totally valid concerns like you said. I feel paranoid whenever I use public WiFi, anyway, which is why I usually don't. I don't care that I use GrapheneOS and that I'm always hiding behind a VPN anyway; no matter how good I am, there's always someone else better. The existence of Good Edward Snowden implies the existence of Evil Edward Snowden; that's not a risk I'm willing to take. Frankly, just like usual, my threat model is less concerned with cops and/or lawyers, and more concerned with the type of person who has never intentionally walked into a police station or a courthouse for any reason and who never will. There's always some lunatic who takes everything into their own hands, and I'd rather go to prison.
