Greed and apathy have brought us here.
I'm old enough to recall the glee with which the stupid/short-sighted bought shares in the country's assets. That alongside the disparagement of the Unions was the beginning of the neo-liberal disaster.
I agree with Epistatacadam (npub1zg4…56fh) comment; what passes for education churns out clones in support of the suppression of the masses. People in poverty, or the brink, are preoccupied with survival and more easily distracted.
There is no 'Saviour' on the horizon.
