Ah, it’s nicely put my thoughts exactly. Although moving server is slightly more of a bother to me. A second preference for me is that mastodon has no inherent zelf promoting function. It doesn’t matter whether I’m popular of not… and I don’t care about that. People have to make up their own mind about me without some kind of group dynamics like ‘belonging’ or other expectations.
