I've been using search engines since AltaVista as well. I've been on the Internet since at least 1996 (born in '91 but have been a keyboard warrior since I was FIVE!) digging on most days. LLMs are a useful tool that should NEVER be taken as fact. I use them for quick info and to help me dig further.
It's useful no matter what people say and I am not afraid of its future.
