Also what a fucking waste of resources on auditing this. This isn’t some advanced protocol reference implementation where we are implementing certain cryptographic primitives ourselves. This is a fucking encryption standard for individual messages.
The HMAC is fucking useless also. The literal note signature is the MAC.
