The father of an Israeli-American hostage, Adi Alexander, says the killings of six hostages in Gaza 'never had to happen' because of a cease-fire and hostage release deal that was agreed upon but not implemented. He has met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US national security adviser Jake Sullivan to push for a deal. Thousands of Israelis have protested in the streets and members of the country's largest labor union have gone on strike following the news of the hostage deaths.
