I just had the worst nightmare. It was horrible. I woke up bawling my eyes out. I'm sure there's a Jungian metaphor here somewhere, but I can't even think about it right now without tearing up. As a vegetarian/pescatarian, I think I've been watching too many survival shows as of late.
The nightmare...
Something happened, and it seemed that moxie (nprofile…xz56) had died. I was a mess. Then, someone told me I had to eat her, and that was somehow understood, and that they would prepare her.
Time elapsed, and they handed her cooked body to me. I was in tears holding her. I forced myself to take a bite from her cheek. Her skin still felt so soft. It was horrible, and I felt like, "OMG, what have I done?" Then I felt her begin to softly and weakly purr; she was so frail. She reached up with her trembling paw and caressed my cheek.
I realized she wasn't dead before, but she was too far gone now, and I had just cooked and eaten my baby. 😭
