Like raising awareness of something you perceive as a danger makes sense. But I fail to see how it does more good than harm when the people raising awareness of it end up misinforming others of what is grooming, and how it's actually done and how grooming can be done on adults and also in a non-sexual way as well.

But antis instead focus on a hyper-specific type of grooming (someone older, usually of legal age and amab, performing sexual grooming on someone who's under the legal age, and it is implied all the grooming done is non-consensual), and this doesn't *actually* help. Because any grooming that doesn't fall into this narrow category is either ignored or downplayed as not actually happening
