"Who started it" doesn't even matter. They're extremist Jew-hating, Russia allied, islamists who have directly and indirectly killed tens of thousands of good people this year alone. The faster Iran's islamists are wiped out the better.
Hopefully that doesn't need to involve destroying all of Iran in the process. But that's ultimately up to the people of Iran to reject extremist Islam. If they fail to do that soon we should permanently crush their economy to ensure they won't be a threat in the future.
What was so wrong about the post-WW2 order? Any aggression against another state results in action against the aggressor. No "let's free the people of Venezuela", no "let's de-Nazify this part of Ukraine". Etc.?
No borders are re-drawn except by big international consent.
Now, Trump is re-drawing borders like this was his very own board game. But it isn't his. What about China? When will they make a move? US just disrupted their oil in Venezuela and Iran and ... well, let's just say I'm not happy to see what we are heading towards full steam ahead.
