There are structural factors that prevent third parties from making inroads (FPTP, no RCV or STV, etc). We need to dismantle those before voting for third parties in swing states is ethical IMO.

Also, third parties don't seem to actually do the groundwork of building a party from the local-up - esp the Green Party just shows up with a Presidential candidate once every 4 years.
