Largely agree about Linear Algebra specifically. I learnt it badly at Uni, initially, the course and teaching were uninspired. When I had to teach it myself, I rapidly came to the conclusion that you have to learn it visually to really get it. Admittedly though, this is a bit orthogonal to the question of whether heavily leaning on Mathematica is a good idea in the initial stages. Not sure, I never used it much myself.
With LLMs I *would* agree except LLMs have this very nasty tendency to reinforce errors. Hopefully that will change over time; it's already improving right now.
