I feel like I've missed the boat on most of the Discords I've tried to join. Work and personal slacks (17 of which I seem to be logged in to right now) have maybe a couple of posts per day at most, but Discords all seem to have a devout group of dedicated posters (plus hundreds of lurkers) forming a tight-knit community with dozens of posts *per channel* that feels imposing to chime in on. Just catching up with what happened overnight once seems like a lot to take in.
Again, I may just be old.
