I was so happy we could add a little judicious dynamism to web pages to improve usability while maintaining a semantic document. We could kill flash and return to html purity! Nope, took you idiots 10 seconds to start loading half the page through ajax calls and putting a headless browser on your server so you didn't have to learn php.

Same thing with css. Yay seperation of concerns! So clean and easy, nope a minute later we have replaced all html styling crap with css framework classes and found a way to muck it up on the server with compass and tailwind.
