Not disagreeing on the CX or the general point, but if you look at the detailed fare breakdown on a long haul economy ticket, the revenue to the airline is often barely 10% of the total fare.
Looks like an opportunity to make the model more lean. A super-budget long-haul hub in Newfoundland would be a disruptor.
