There's something to be said for just killing a few hours in a familiar, enjoyable game that you like when you don't feel like locking in or aren't in the mood for a story-driven experience, while at the same time getting a bit closer to achieving a greater goal.
Death Stranding 2 is contemptible because of its themes and message, the issue with it being grindy would ultimately come down to its execution.
