My wife is a GIS Analyst/Developer but, sadly, stuck in ESRI land when it comes to the GIS software that she uses. Nothing wrong with ESRI, but it is proprietary software. She told me that the GIS community could use more Linux users and pointed me to QGIS (npub1960…q88s). Looking at their download page, they certainly treat Linux users as first class citizens.
