as far as i can tell he hasn't lived in America since 2003 (not counting his time in Turkey as "west"). i'm not saying things are "better". they are just different and he seems stuck in the 90s whenever i hear him talk about the American muslim (his series from eariler this year i noted as very out of touch). the muslim community shifted significantly in the 2010s and then also again post-covid (and seems to be starting tonshift again now). he spent very little time living in the American muslim community before he left to really properly understand its nuances and comes off as a hater.
anyhow the biggest change is technological and thst is an issue that no muslims aside from bitcoiners and SAIF have addressed with any grounding in what the problem of technology actually means. Bolsen is just a media personality, that's it. he's been introduced to btc and AI and basically ignores them. his thesis is basically that the GCC can spend its way out of its mess and then reshape the muslim world in a GAE 2.0. that's a joke and doesn't solve for any of the root cause problems. and what's lovely is if you follow his telegram (where's he most active with his community) you can really get a view into the spychofancy cult he has developed where any intellecual questioning of him is immediately silenced.
As for propoganda, he was a known associate of Mahmoud Fathy during his time in Turkey which did a lot of damage to how practicing muslims are perceived in Egypt. I think he's distanced himself from that but he has a terrible history of being directly involved in a lot of bad scandals so that track record on top of his weak analytical skills don't give me reason to want to listen to him.
