i've never tried to clip cornbreads nails, but if you just let them go outside and dig in the ground and what not, their nails get dull enough to where they're not razor sharp and constantly catching on stuff, so you don't need to really clip them in the first place.
Also, if I need to give him a bath, I've found its easiest to just get in the tub with him and give him a bath in my lap. Because from his point of view, I'm no longer giving him a bath. I'm taking a bath with him. So he's a lot more willing to do it. Plus also, yeah, he still tries to get out, but he's very careful not to scratch me.
He very much does not like the vet, and he has a vet appointment later this month, but if I just sit on the examination table and have him in my lap, he'll be pretty much okay for whatever, like, you know, I can just have him sitting in my lap and I just rest my hand gently on top of him. And he can get his shots and whatnot here that he's fine as long as he's with me.
His vet has remarked a few times on how close our relationship is.
Just build mutual respect with an animal and pretty much everything else will just naturally fall into place.
