1. We ALREADY checked each voter was on the electoral roll before issuing a ballot paper, as we have for over 100 years;
2. However, non-citizens are legally entitled to vote in some elections, so are entitled to register to vote;
3. The number of cases of personation in the UK is extremely small;
4. People in the UK do not require to have ID, and many, especially among the young and poor, do not have any;
