I read that article and suddenly my web experience over the last five years made sense. The one thing they didn't count on is AI agents going out and crawling the web and summarizing answers for you, thereby avoiding the user-hostile experience of the search engine results page and ad-laden and keyword-stuffed landing pages. I'm really enjoying the Brave browser's new AI summaries.
