South Africa is an example of how radically changing the system of governance is important, but not enough.
SA has a great modern system of governance designed from the ground up. A constitution widely considered the best progressive constitution in the world by constitutional scholars.
The lesser system would have crumbled within a few years, SA continues to struggle with massive violence, inequality, and corruption, but the problem is elsewhere.
