#BookReview for "Bridge to Bat City" by Ernest Cline
Disappointing
Loved "Ready Player One" but didn't realize this is a kid's book.
An inexplicable UFO visit that grants magic powers? Lazy writing.
Supporting environmental conservation? Good. Encouraging people to pet bats and to have armadillos as pets? Bad.
Title doesn't make sense either. Is Austin supposed to be "Bat City"? Is it a tortured metaphor since the bridge is the bat's home (bat city)? A different title would have been better.
