If anyone here is familiar with languages of the Pacific or Oceania, can you tell me if vanua is a word and does that mean home, land, or thereabouts? Because the name Vanuatu sounds like it would be related to wanua (inhabited land) and benua (continent) in old Javanese and Indonesian, respectively.
