"Authoritarian Personality" == "Supremacist".
The problem is the ideology of supremacy, which believes in the corrupt ideas that:
1. Some people are just inherently better than others and
2. Everyone should pay deference to their "betters".
The entire history of western civilization is built around defining "better".
This naturally leads to hierarchies.
