Yeah this one is definitely one of my faves. A young man meets a dark-haired Moldovan girl named Smuglyanka while traveling through Moldavia and falls in love. She tells him she is connected to the partisans and leaves for the forest leaving him longing for her. He joins the partisans and they reunite eventually where she warmly greets him as her dear one. I like that it ends happy with no one dead or shot.
