So this morning, I got a call from paramedics that my dad was in the ER. Having to coordinate some things with my mom has made it quite clear she has significant memory issues. Not quite as bad as my FIL, but bad enough that she really can’t do anything on her own anymore. Like, she went to their bedroom to get some clothes for him to wear, and she had a container of brown shoe polish for some reason. She also keeps insisting that she’s at the hospital for her mom (who died ~20 years ago).
