For you cellists (or former cellists, like me) out there, this is a NYT piece on one of the most obscure topics I ever saw: Endpin to anchor the cello? Or just squeeze with the thighs without an endpin? I never realized this was even a controversy! I used an endpin to keep my cello from sliding forward when I was a youngster. I switched to no endpin when I was playing while a college student, because the instrument fit me more comfortably! #cello #cellist #endpin
