I disagree: With violence, you only play by their rules. Their mindset is violent, their language is violent, their actions are violent. You only do them a favor with more chances for violence.

Defending people against this violence with violence is necessary, but to really defeat them, you need to be smarter and more endurant then they are. They are their own worst enemy.
