It’s personal, individual, and it’s about trust and direct interaction. Monetary transitions are very slow but *extremely* powerful for this very reason. If it happens quickly, it could be undone quickly. Bitcoin is like a mountain.
quotingA while ago, I came in contact with this guy from Egypt because I wanted to ask him things about his 3d designs and maybe sell some of his products. We got along great, he gave me some unreleased files I could use, gave me over $100 in gift cards and gave me permission to sell his products without buying a license.

I wanted to support him back, so I just asked if he maybe would accept Bitcoin.
And he said: yes!.
He has no idea what Bitcoin really is, he doesn't know the difference between lightning and on-chain, but it's one of the few ways he's able to buy things outside of his country.
And even though he told me that Bitcoin is "illegal" in his country and he has seen people get arrested because of it, he was still willing to take the risk and accept it.
Things like this make me bullish as fuck and confirms again that people not just want Bitcoin, but they actually NEED it.
