On trans-cis interactions :

Sex-based social consideration belongs to the relationship between two embodied persons, not solely to the self-description of one of them. No person has a unilateral right to trigger sex-specific obligations in another by substituting identity for biological reality.

Male deference toward women is not principally a reward for feminine style. It arises from recognition of female embodiment and the asymmetric realities attached to it.

A man perceives another person as female. That perception activates restraint, protectiveness, courtesy, lowered suspicion, altered boundaries, or reduced willingness to confront. Those responses occur partly below conscious deliberation.

The perceiving man bears the cost of miscalibration: embarrassment, social sanction, compromised boundaries, or accusations if he later corrects his behavior. That is deception because the presentation causes another person to allocate conduct on a materially false premise, even without an explicit verbal lie.

The remaining distinction is between the existence of the imposition and its degree. The imposition may be slight in a passing interaction and severe in intimate, private, competitive, custodial, or physically vulnerable settings. But sincerity does not eliminate the underlying asymmetry: one party controls the presentation, while the other absorbs the consequences of acting on it.
