And surprise! Now I have a more theatrical version of Puccini's "Lucevan le stele" from Tosca, still with Jonathan Tetelman, right on the roof of Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, where this particular scene takes place. (See the quoted post.)




This time, sung by Jonathan Tetelman.

This aria is sung by the character Mario Cavaradossi, while waiting for his execution on the roof of Rome's Castel Sant'Angelo*. Overwhelmed by emotions, he recalls a past romantic moment with his lover, Tosca.

*If you pass through Rome, you should definitely visit the castle. It's open for visiting pretty much all the time, at least for what I know, and it feels different with Tosca in your headphones.
