You could argue, that in bad situations, it does not help if people increase unrest, FUD, etc.
BUT if a profit centric company sets these rules, and decides what you can see, it also poses the problem, that showing drugs for a drug addict is the most profitable to do...
And if you optimize AI to do content optimization, it is inevitable to converge to... I mean if only profit optimization is the goal.
So basically we build a system to "prevent people from such bad consequences", to at the end cause the same bad consequence on an other topic while we make a company rich. Does it make sense?
