So I foreshadowed impending misfortune earlier as the wind swept the cap right off my head upon getting off the blue line. It landed down on the tracks and I know better than to try to collect it down there. Talked to a nice Metra attendant and she made note to try to get it out later but I'm considering it gone for good. Oh well
