Yesterday I officially added AI to my workflow. This feels like a victory because for a long time I've struggled to make AI useful to me. Finding that it made too many mistakes or I didn't understand anything from what it produced and in the end, everything it did for me, I still had to do myself. I didn't resonate at all with the vibe coders out there and it never felt good to let AI take over my programming and do it for me. Instead I wanted to find a way how to use AI to support me while I'm still the one that's doing the programming.
I'm not sharing this video because of the 99 program he created but because of the way he wants to use AI. I feel like he wants to take the same approach as me. I enjoy the process of programming a lot and I want to keep developing this skill! In the end, a super fast generated app means nothing to me if I have never touched the code and feel dreaded to do so. I want to go step by step and converse with AI while building and learning.
