she was amazing. I grew up reading her works and was (am) a huge fan. I had the chance to meet her years ago at a small science fiction convention (Wiscon) when she was the guest of honor at the convention. I was attending a reading by another author and she was just quietly sitting in the back of the room just in with the audience supporting a fellow writer. She is greatly missed.
