Now I'm mad at myself for letting them see that I was irritated by it (the usual "well you're emotional, so obviously you must be the one who is wrong" fallacy likely applies), but by the same token calmly saying "no, we don't need to have this conversation" does the same thing ("well you're being closed minded, we're just talking") and now the group thinks that you have to seriously consider anything a handful of crackpots on the internet say with equal weight to actual medicine.
