My opinion is the RSV is better than the ESV! The RSV translation afaik was used as the primary base for both the ESV and the NRSV and NRSV is superior to the ESV, however, I personally use the NKJV the most for my own reading at home. For actual *Bible study* it’s best practice to have multiple translations and these days we have easy access to interlinear translations of both the Septuagint and Masoretic texts! I like to use biblehub! I grew up in a church that used Latin Vulgate which is a whole other ordeal!
