awwww, I have a similar story about Forest. Bc I already had three cats I felt like I couldn’t keep her when I found her in the woods. So I took her to the shelter the next day. I cried that whole day and planned to get her back. Three days later she was home but wouldn’t eat for several days. The vet said something abt failure to thrive. But I knew she was traumatized and she just needed extra love. And I loved her extra and she started to eat.
