Mastodon has an Api with the name conservation. It is used for DMs.
In no way I implied that this is a good thing, that anyone else in the fediverse should use it or not or anything else.
You wrote mastodon has no concept conservation. i said it has one. But it is used for DMs. So if you talk about conservation to mastodon users, especially those who think mastodon is the fediverse - and that mastodon has none - your listeners may either not understand what you're talking about, or think you're talking about something you're not. And if mastodon were to introduce something that corresponds to the conservation on hubzilla, it would have to be called something else, because that name is already used on mastodon.
And note: this toot has more than 500 characters, but comes from mastodon (as you can see), in case you didn't know that toots on mastodon can have more than 500 characters.
