I've noticed, if you wait long enough, there will always be a news story which challenges the doom laden one you have just been presented with. Or at least puts it in perspective. However the nature of the newscycle now means we don't want to wait for the less emotive story, & when it comes it's insufficient which is bc the previous one was so extreme in it's presentation, it (almost) suggested there was no solution. So we remain permanently angry. 2/
