Great vid! I think the main confusion between those who have chosen a side in the debate is simple:
They don’t understand how consensus works in the protocol. Core has finally met a challenger to the maintenance of Bitcoin and that is inherently a positive for the network. It allows for complete decentralization at the node level.
If core had zero opposition, then bitcoin would have been hijacked by social hierarchy, VC funds, corporations and wealthy elites to do what they want with the code (not direct influence but still having lots of power through funding and selecting devs). Knots introduces a new set of ideas the node runners can adopt if they wish.
Doesn’t mean that BIP 110 is the actual solution or that Core 30 is… it just means that you get to decide as a free agent.
Unfortunately too many people don’t understand this and get sidetracked by tribalism.
