⚡️🎮 NEW - Valve’s latest Steam Hardware & Software Survey for May 2026 shows Linux holding 3.99% of Steam’s user base.
That’s down from 4.52% in April and 5.33% in March, but it remains well above the sub-2% levels Linux typically saw for many years.
Steam Hardware Survey results can vary monthly due to changes in participation and regional sampling.
Even so, Linux gaming on Steam remains much stronger than a few years ago and will keep improving thanks to enhancements in Proton, SteamOS, and game compatibility.
